up for auction is my beloved benz. i cant say i am to excited about selling it, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. i am moving out west this week and cant take all my projects with me. i have 3 mercedes benz all which need sold this week. this particular one has always been my favourite. i bought it a few years ago from a guy in illinois who owned it for 10 years. of which it sat in a barn. he is responsible for pulling the climate control out of the console and adding the sound system. there are 4 infinity 6×9’s mounted in a fiberglass box in the back window. a 12″ square subwoofer, 2 amps, and a 7″ screen in the dash…. i dont know why all this was necessary, but its there. the sub box needs to be fixed, but it was always plenty loud for me. i put infinity speakers in there instead of the sony xploads it had. its loud. everything works, however i never once used the screen in the few years i owned it. it turns on and off and there are hookups in the glove box. beacause of the screen, there are no climate controls. you can feel head coming out of the floor vents if you drive it long distances. the driver window is broken, the passenger front goes up and down slowly. the back two go down once you start them and up just fine except the last inch. the teeth have been worn on the gear. the motors however on all doors are fine. the previous owner also put the rims on the car. i was never much of a fan, but it does make the car look 20 years newer. i will say the much wider tires goes give this car a much smoother ride and feel. its way nicer than the original bundt rims it came with. it feels more stable. the odometer never worked from the day i got it and i would imagine i put about 25-30k on the motor. this is what i have replaced or rebuilt on “bizzy” over the 2.5 years i had the car.
