1974 Corvette Convertible C3 Roadster

1974 Corvette Convertible C3 Roadster

1974 original Corvette Convertible Stingray with AC, nice factory coded bright yellow paint (actually a soft pastel yellow), excellent chrome, and chrome door handles with original factory code (#416) tan leather interior. Both hard and soft tops matches the trim tag. Transmission has been replaced with a Borg Warner/Richmond 4 speed. This Corvette has a 350/205hp L82 short block with aluminum intake and 9:1 compression, power brakes. The Hooker intake manifold increases the power from 190 to 205hp, with an Edelbrock Performance intake and Holley carburetor; It has original 1970’s American Torque Thrust mags. With 2.5 inch mufflers in the Hooker pipes giving it the sound of a high horsepower small block. The quieter 2” mufflers are included and are easy to change out. Tires are new Goodyear Eagle GT II P255/60R 15 with 9/32 tread depth on all four, spare is new with 10/32, and the spare tire tub and lock is still intact along with the jack and lug wrench.  Air Conditioner lines have been replaced and the air blew at 50 degrees when inspected. Third Owner – Purchased from Corvette Mike’s, Burr Ridge, IL and received delivery April 1, 2010.

The body lines and fit are very nice and fit on the doors, hood, and headlights, are superb and normal for a 70s Stingray as indicated in the photos. The original front and rear urethane bumpers are still in excellent shape and have been repainted at some point. Window glass is original and in very nice shape along with the trim around the glass. The interior shows well and appears to be all original. The dash pad and all gauges look nice, work and show well, with the exception of the inoperable clock. Door panels are nice and not broken or cracked. Seats and seat belts are all in nice shape. Both the soft and the hard tops are in very nice shape and complete with inside headliner moldings.

A professional Corvette inspector (a former NCRS judge) was hired to do an official inspection of this vehicle at Corvette Mike’s, Burr Ridge, IL near Chicago. He states in his review that the car indicates normal wear and under hood appearance is commensurate with an 18,000 mile car. “The car does drive out like a 18,000 mile car (at time of inspection) as it is very nice, tight, and solid, very stable and does not pull left or right. The mileage is believed to be actual but cannot be guaranteed”.
