barn find/restoration project ready to go! 1971 triumph gt6 mk iii
-engine: i hooked a battery up and used starter fluid and the engine purrs! i would think with a cleaning of the carbs, and a check of the fuel lines and gas tank, the engine is very mechanically sound.
-body: mostly good, some small rust spots on the bottom of the rocker panels, rear valance, floor pans, and battery box (the usual places)
-interior: the interior is empty except for one seat on the drivers side and the wiring harness which is visible to the back lights and such
-dash: all guages are present, though not all connected. wood and dash pad need to be redone
what this car comes with:
-mechanically sound motor, no leaks
-great condition frame
-new brake master cylinder
-four original wheels with chrome accent rings
-rebuilt rear brakes
-brand new carpet kit
-brand new floor pans/floor cross members, rear valance panel, battery box for your restoration project (purchased from rimmer bros. in england)
-both front and rear chrome bumpers in decent condition
-tail chrome trim.
-headlights, 2 sets of tail lights, side markers, (only one set of side markers is missing i believe)
-one leather seat that would need to be redone, and one short seat frame
-2 door interior panels (need recovering)
-front aftermarket spoiler
-extra set of original carburetors
-extra brake and suspension components
-original glass in good condition
-rearview mirrors
-rear panel vents
-chrome door handles and hood latches
-many more small bits
this car will be a great project for somebody, i just don’t have the time for it. the car and it’s components are certainly worth more separated and parted out, but i would like to see all of it go together to someone who willrestore it.
questions and comments are appreciated!
